Jeevani Centre for students’ well-being is a project of department of Collegiate
Education, Government of Kerala which was launched on the year 2019. The purpose
of the project is the wellbeing of the mental health of the college students. A mental
health professional in the position of Psychology Apprentice is posted on colleges for
providing mental health services and conducting mental health related programs in the
colleges.
MMS Government Arts & Science College Malayinkeezhu was established in 2014 in
the name of famous poet, Madhava Panicker. The college offers graduation programs
for three subjects (English, Commerce and Mathematics) and Master’s program on
one subject (Commerce). The total number of students is 432. The total number of
students is 1000. In the academic year 2023-24, Jeevani Psychology Apprentice had
served for a total 50 working days in this College.
Work Schedule of Jeevani Apprentice: Psychology apprentice visits the college on
one or two days per week (Mondays and Alternative Fridays)

- 7 th February, 2024 – Final year B. Com – An awareness class on effective ways of
dealing with exam stress was conducted for B. Com final year students on 7 th
February,2024 on B. Com final year class room. Though the class was initially
planned for whole final years, other departments were unavailable at the time for
program. The resource person for the program was Jithin Prem, Jeevani psychology

psychological issues at the time of exam, Eustress and distress, difference between
hard work and smart work, long term and short term exam preparation strategies, tips
for effective memory encoding and retrieval.
